Anchor Insights grew out of work we were already doing separately: Lance on AI, teaching, and higher-ed practice; Chris on organizational change, facilitation, and program design. We built the consultancy around the overlap, because institutions rarely need only an AI expert or only a change expert when they are trying to move this work forward.

Lance has worked in higher education for more than 20 years across teaching, faculty development, and academic leadership. His work now focuses on how colleges and universities understand, govern, and use AI in practice. He is a nationally recognized voice on AI in higher education and the recipient of the 2026 EDUCAUSE Leadership Award. He also writes about AI in higher education at AI + Education = Simplified.
Christine Eaton
Co-Founder & Chief Strategist
Chris helps design Anchor’s more complex consulting and program work. She brings more than 15 years of experience in organizational change, facilitation, and program design, along with Prosci change management certification. Her work focuses on turning complicated institutional challenges into a clear approach that people can actually use.
